Construction of the first home at Les Boisés du Sommet began in mid-March. The new owners and future occupants of Lot 13 hired general contractor Construction Stéphane Fréchette to build a superb structure. Excavation Steve Leblanc performed the excavation, levelling, septic installation and earthwork. Their house should be ready in June. Welcome to these future Boisés du Sommet residents!

The Boisés du Sommet development will comply with a Protocol (in French) produced by developers who are just as committed to nature as their future residents. Les Boisés du Sommet participated in the Eastern Township’s Expo-Habitat show from February 7 to 10, 2008, and many visitors to our booth were delighted to learn about this Protocol.

Our presence at the show confirmed that an ever-increasing number of people want to live in natural settings. Their primary concern is that what looks nice now may deteriorate over time because of neighbours with more “urban” tastes. The Boisés du Sommet Protocol sets out strict construction standards aimed at ensuring preservation of the site’s natural beauty.
